In our industry people will always need to travel so it’s important for the hotel, hospitality and tourism industry to take the lead in finding alternate ways of mitigating our environmental impact. We understand that sustainable environmental practices reflect the expectations and desires of our guests, suppliers, partners and stakeholders and choose achievable, realistic goals to support our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) objectives.

Carbon Neutral through Club Carlson^SM

The Carbon Neutral Company is one of the world's leading climate change businesses, set up in the early 1990s. The World Childhood Foundation

Carlson Hotels Worldwide has designated the World Childhood Foundation as its charity of choice. This global foundation was founded in 1999 by Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden to serve the world’s most vulnerable and abused children. Through generous donations from the Curtis L. Carlson Foundation, Carlson is one of the founding sponsors of Childhood. Fund-raising activities take place in many locations of Carlson Hotel brands in the Americas and Europe to support the vital work of the Foundation.  As part of the family of Carlson, Park Plaza Hotels is proud to support the World Childhood Foundation with local initiatives on a European level.

The Willow Foundation

Park Plaza Hotels proudly supports the phenomenal work of The Willow Foundation, a charity that to bring joy and happiness to thousands of terminally ill patients through organised experiences. The Willow Foundation was founded in 1999 by former Arsenal and Scotland goalkeeper and TV presenter, Bob Wilson and his wife, Megs, in memory of their daughter, Anna who died of cancer shortly before her 32nd birthday.  Our company President, Boris Ivesha, sits on the organisation’s board.

As a company, we also encourage our hotels to support local charities close to their hearts.
